Z- $50 Per Year Is a Lot of Money

If you agree with the title of this article, let me offer a few more examples about a “daily” cost of some well-known experiences to put that yearly cost into perspective. The cost of a one-day admission ticket to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, at the gate is $54.99 for one person, and the cost for one person to be admitted to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is $92.00 (with tax, it’s over $100).  With 180 days in the typical school year, the cost of using FACTS for tuition management and fee processing is a little more than a quarter per day.

When you consider that the average school has 1.4 children per family, doing the math, $50 per family comes to $35.71 per child. If your school’s tuition is over $3,571 per child, that’s less than 1%.

When you use FACTS for your tuition and fee processing for your school, it’s usually not about the cost of the program, but who pays that cost. Schools don’t necessarily want to pass on that cost to families, yet they don’t want to absorb it either.

But here’s two pieces of good news if you’ve been considering FACTS for your school. First, there’s a way for your school to use the complete set of tools within our tuition and fee payment processing platform and share the cost between the school and the family! This approach continues to allow you to set and keep late fees (a distinctive difference of using FACTS), too.

Second, if you believe, like I do, that tuition-paying parents don’t like the fact that they may have to pay a late fee, I can provide you with a way to use FACTS, not charge parents late fees, AND help to keep your school’s tuition payers paying on time! If you’d like more information about this truly unique approach (which was first suggested by a parent at one of our customer schools), you can drop an email to me at [email protected]. If your school is in the territory I serve (covering West Virginia, Western and Central Pennsylvania, and Western and Central New York), you can contact me for an appointment in the top navigation bar.

I look forward to hearing from you!
